Statement of Purpose

The process of developing a teaching philosophy forced me to reassess my statement of purpose. When I began this degree program my purpose was to develop my editing and production skills.  Little did I know this program would open new way of thinking for me. My field of vision was narrow and one-minded. I have learned to think outside of my personal "box". 

My Statement of Purpose has transformed from being self-directed to being learner directed. I have a desire to make a difference in the youth of our community. My purpose is to be one component of their lives that will be positive and encouraging. To develop leadership and positive life choices in our youth is my statement of purpose.
 

My Personal Mission Statement:

• I will stand firm against adveristy concerning my principles
• I will strive to have the passion my mother has for her family
• I will treat others with the compassion my father instilled in me
• I will be passionate for the goals I have set in my personal, academic and professional life
• I will maintain compassion for others in my day-to-day life.
• I will remember that if God will come first in my life everything else will fall in place
• I will strive to be victorious and to make my failures a victory by learning from the experience
• I will alway remember that companionship is a priviledge of marriage
• I will keep my lifemate close to my heart as my best friend
• I will be passionate in all I do
• I will remember happiness is a choice
• I will teach my children to be real and honest
• I will teach my children to stand up for their values
• I will begin each relationship with openess and honesty
