Coursework samples:

Each of these links will take you to the actual document. Each document of sample of work was specifically chosen for this portfolio.

This is a sample of one of my first papers. As you navigate through my portfolio you will see growth in the writing technique and subject substance of each document.

This is my first collaborative paper. When I entered this class, I was the only "non-teacher" in the class. The other students were throwing around words like behaviorist, constructivist, ADDIE Models and naming theorist like they were their blood relatives. I was confused and convinced I was in over my head. But through the patience of my instructor and fellow classmates I can enter a conversation about theories, foundations and models of instructional technology and know I am speaking with as much confidence as I heard from the ladies who began this journey with me.

This was my first interaction with the distance learning experience. I knew of the concept but I did not really understand how the classes worked. We had the opportunity to observe a distance  learning class and I enjoyed the experience. I found myself wanting to join in on the lesson.  I have included two other papers on this topic for your viewing.
When this class first began we were asked to select a teaching theory to research. The natural choice for me seemed to be the communication theory. Little did I know it is the one theory of many theories.  With my limited knowledge of learning or teaching theories this turned out to be the best one I could have chosen. In researching the Communication Theory I had to study all theories, because the communication theory is an umbrella that has traits  found in all theories.
